As we all know, heat rises, so for it to rise from the lowest point and equally across the floor seems a no brainer to anyone. With underfloor heating you can be free to position interior furniture wherever you please without it obstructing essential heat output. You may think though, that if you are not restricting radiators on the wall you will be restricting the heat from coming up through the floor by having furniture in place, but with wooden flooring this is not the case.

On top of the bonded layers is a layer of real wood which is the aesthetic top layer that gives the floor its unique finish. Due to the strong make up of the boards, makes engineered flooring ideal to be fitted over underfloor heating as the changes in temperature will not effect the wood.
JG Flooring suggest the any engineered flooring or engineered parquet flooring is no more than 18mm in thickness. Any thicker than this and most of the heat will absorb into the wood and struggle to rise into the room.
The professional floor fitters from JG flooring will fit the engineered flooring over the underfloor heating using glue to ensure there is no movement. This enables any expansion to the flooring to be a minimum and not effect the entire floor.
