The only thing left to do is get the house gleaming and the first thing to do is get your wooden floors spick and span.
How to Clean your Wooden Floors
A lot of people are afraid of having wooden floor fitted in their home due to the worry of cleaning them. It is thought that wooden floors are high maintenance and difficult to clean. This is obviously incorrect as they are easier to clean and cheaper to clean than carpet. Carpet requires a vacuum cleaner, numerous cleaning and stain removers whilst wooden flooring can be clean with a damp cloth and easily swept.
You need to follow a few easy steps to keep your wooden floors looking amazing for Christmas. Wooden floors do not hold dust, it just sits on top and simply needs sweeping and collecting using a soft brushed broom. You can use a vacuum on your wooden or laminate floors and there is often a hard floor setting on your vacuum attachment.
For the more stubborn stain, vacuuming or sweeping just isn’t enough, this is where you need something a little more. Whilst mopping is possible, it can sometimes be a little too wet for the floor and if not made completely dry after mopping, this can cause swelling to the floor. There are several wooden floor cleaning products out there that can be used for stubborn stains and they will also give a fresh clean smell afterwards. An even simpler way would be too use a slightly dampened cloth or sponge too concentrate on the stain. Once removed, use kitchen towel or a dry towel to dry the area before sweeping.
