Advantages of Carpet Tiles
Easy to fit Can be transported much easier than carpet Can be laid on existing laminate word flooring or vinyl Easy to lay in rooms with strange dimensions Damaged tiles can be easily replaced Easier to remove when moving home Fitting is easier as you can work around the existing furniture Carpet tiles do not need to be laid on top of underlay as they already have a strong backing. There is much less waste when using carpet tiles, even when fitted in strange shaped rooms. Although not recommended, carpet tiles are easier to install yourself if your floors are perfectly flat. They are much more cost effective due to the fact that you can uplift a damaged or stained tile and have it replaced without 1) having to clean the carpet 2) not having to replace the whole carpet.
Carpet Tile Maintenance
Like normal carpet, you should regularly vacuum the carpet to clean daily dust and dirt build ups. For more stubborn stains or spills, the area should be treated immediately. Any foods or solids should be removed from the surface prior to cleaning and you should work from the edges to prevent it spreading. Again, any areas that can not be cleaned can be simply replaced with new carpeted tiles.
