Beech Solid Wooden Flooring

Beech Wooden Flooring

When buying or selling a home, wooden flooring always seems to be 1 thing buyers prefer to see.  The main reason is that wooden flooring is seen as clean and easy to manage and will adapt to new owners, whereas carpet can hold on to smells and stains and unlike wooden flooring, the longer it is down the more worn and tired it becomes.

Endless Choice

These days there is an endless choice of solid wooden flooring from different colours to different textures, widths and lengths. One of the types of solid wooden flooring is Beech.  Like oak, Beech solid wooden flooring is extremely durable.  Due to its durability and strength it is suitable for any room in the home, even rooms with a high amount of use.

Beech solid wooden flooring is a light flooring in its natural form but can be stained to make it darker or match your existing decor.  The lighter colour of beech is alway favoured in smaller or dark rooms where extra brightness is needed to create a spacial look.

With its similar qualities to oak, beech solid wooden flooring does note need much maintenance to keep it looking as good as new, it ages very well in any room and can be sanded to bring it back to its original colour.  Just like any wooden flooring, a simple sweep now and again and a very light mop using special wood floor cleaner will suffice in keeping it in tip top condition.  Any spillages must be soaked up immediately though to prevent it seeping through the joints that can cause the boards to sweep and expand.
